Ex-vice-chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache announced that his newly founded party, Team HC Strache, will run in the upcoming elections in Upper Austria (Oberösterreich). The party suffered a defeat in the latestViennese elections, clearly missing the 5% threshold for parliament representation. Strache’s involvement in the so-called Ibiza-Affärecorruption scandal is the main cause for the electoral defeat.
