German exports to Britain plunged by nearly 30% in January, as the downward trend since the Brexit vote compounded trade issues caused by coronavirus. German exports to the UK have declined by an average 3% per year since 2016.

Siemens Mobility is to build 94 new metro trains for the London Underground’s Piccadilly line, entering service in 2025 and creating over 2,000 jobs. The trains will be larger, quieter and more efficient than the existing fleet.
