Weekly update: Bausa makes waves with new album 100 Pro

New releases

Perhaps the biggest release of the week is Bausa’s new album 100 Pro, his fourth since his explosive debut album Dreifarbenhaus, and it’s been making some real waves. There are a number of significant collaborations on the album, including ‘Madonna’ (with Apache 207), ‘2012’ (with Juju), and ‘Weisst wie es ist’ with Sido.

Singer-songwriter Noah Levi, a product of the successful German talent show The Voice Kids, has returned with ‘Was Helden tun’. It’s low-stress, feel-good pop, and it’s not hard to see his ambition: to become the German Ed Sheeran.

BABYJOY and KazOnDaBeat’s collaboration ‘Viele Leute gucken’ is a bleak, rainy-day track. BABYJOY’s lyrics deal with cultural appropriation, substance abuse and making ends meet.

Song of the weekSymba – PS2

Symba’s zany, eclectic style seems at once to be retro and revolutionary. ‘PS2’ is typical of his style, combining references to 90s and 00s computer games with cutting-edge ad-libs and production.
