(der) Morgenmuffel
             Noun: someone who is grumpy in the mornings

 Calling someone or yourself a Morgenmuffel is a colloquial way of saying they or you aren’t a morning person.

Ich bin sicher kein Morgenmuffel - ich hab‘ einfach keine Lust aufzustehen! = I’m definitely a morning person – I just don’t want to get up!

Du bist ein Morgenmuffel – du brauchst immer Kaffee, bevor du in die Uni gehst. = You’re a morning grouch – you always need coffee before going into uni.
