Weekly update: rise in sales of organic food

Sales of organic food in Germany have continued to rise. In 2020 sales rose by 17% or an estimated 14 billion euros.

Germany has joined an alliance for the protection of land and seas. The move was announced by Chancellor Merkel during the One Planet Summit hosted by France. The alliance commits Germany, and more than 50 other countries, to protect 30% of their land and seas by 2030.
